PROJECT "IT'S NICE IN KINDERGARTEN"
"Healthy Lifestyle with LEGO Education" is a project under the National Program "Its Nice in Kindergarten" 2024, which we will implement during the 2024/2025 school year.
The kindergartens strategy includes involving children in various activities related to healthy lifestyles, physical education, and environmental education. Following the principles set out in the strategy, the kindergarten actively participates in various events for separate waste collection, sports festivals, joint initiatives with parents for landscaping the yard, and outdoor training in the natural environment. The activities set out in the innovative project under the National Program "Its Nice in Kindergarten" are fully in line with the kindergartens development direction in the area of healthy lifestyles and the harmonious development of children from an early age. Our goal is to make this direction sustainable, with a tendency to enrich the resources in the kindergarten and the ideas and opportunities for their implementation.
LEGO Education solutions focus on "learning through play" and "learning by doing" approaches that develop key competencies and build interdisciplinary connections. Working with the LEGO Education method encourages children to love discovery and exploration, helping them develop their social and emotional skills. Even at an early age, children show curiosity and a strong desire to learn. The goal of LEGO Education for early childhood education is to stimulate the natural desire of the youngest children to learn through play. In this way, they will be prepared for school and life by building their social skills and competencies in line with contemporary trends in the context of high technology and innovation. The key competencies we develop and improve through the activities included in the project are: creativity, use of information, problem solving, joint activity and cooperation, critical thinking, and decision making in problematic situations.
The inclusion of LEGO Education in integrated educational content with the main educational areas – Bulgarian language, the world around us, physical education, mathematics, construction and technology, and visual arts aims to provide children with practical and interactive opportunities to learn and apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the educational process in role-playing situations. The focus of interaction with children is on applying a comprehensive approach to achieving the goals and tasks we set for ourselves.

- Increased understanding and interest in healthy lifestyles.
- Better motor and social skills.
- Healthy eating habits and personal hygiene.
- Increased awareness of safety and appropriate behavior in different situations.
- Active participation and support from parents in the process of developing healthy habits.
