We are chess champions

On April 10, 2025, the First Chess Tournament for children from the kindergartens in the Triaditsa district – Sofia Municipality – was held. Forty children from six kindergartens participated.

Kindergarten No. 131 “Flora” was represented by six children from the third and fourth age groups. We are proud to announce that Teodor Ivanov from the 4th group “Scilla” won the top award, “The Youngest Chess Player of the Triaditsa District,” after decisively defeating all his opponents.

We were also honored in the following categories:

• 1st place among participants from the third age group – Michaela Ivanova from the “Crocus” group

• 1st place among participants from the fourth age group – Monika Dume from the “Daisy” group

• 3rd place among participants from the third age group – Stefan Tanev from the “Snowdrop” group

Special credit for the children’s achievements goes to their chess teacher, Natalia Koleva, who is dedicated to working with preschool and early school-age children.
